About IMS DB using COBOL as Host Programming Language

We start with evolution of Hierarchical structure and how cursor moves in IMS Database. We focus on fundamentals on IMS concepts, We teach Access methods and pointers on a high level. We teach how to create an empty IMS DB and load data from a PS file. We then teach how to manage the Database and write effective and efficient calls. We also deal with advanced concepts like GSAM, Secondary DB, Multiple DB positioning, Recovery procedure and IMS Restart facility. We also end the course with a detailed discussion on IMS DB Interview Questions
